Fibre Installation and Connectivity

Fiber optic is the future of U.S. connectivity – and Guido is bringing it to you

One of the main services we offer is full fiber optic installation, encompassing both aerial (overhead) and underground deployments. The aerial solution utilizes utility poles to suspend cables overhead, while the underground method employs conduit systems to carry the fibers below ground. In certain cases, a hybrid approach combining both methods is appropriate. At Guido Utilities Ltd, we provide all of these options as part of our broadband infrastructure services, adhering to U.S. standards and regulations.

Fiber optic cables run directly to the premises in question, whether that be an apartment, house, office, or other public building. This is the fastest broadband connection available, capable of delivering speeds up to 1,000 Mbps (1 Gbps). The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) have prioritized the expansion of fiber optic networks across the United States. Notably, the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program allocates $42.45 billion to fund the deployment of high-speed internet infrastructure, including fiber optic networks, in unserved and underserved areas nationwide. Additionally, the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) provides up to $20.4 billion over 10 years to bring fixed broadband and voice service to millions of unserved homes and small businesses in rural America. These initiatives aim to ensure that every American has access to reliable, high-speed internet.

Rigorous testing and inspection protocols

One of the most critical aspects of a fiber optic installation is the proper termination of cables. A network will be unreliable if this task is not executed correctly, which is why we dedicate significant attention to this step as part of our rigorous testing and inspection protocols. Correct termination protects the fibers from dirt and damage during use and prevents excessive signal loss.

To deliver flawless results on every project, Wingnut has a comprehensive range of equipment at its disposal. This includes cable winches, crimping and cutting tools, drum jacks, drum trailers, and rollers for professional fiber optic installation, as well as testing equipment to ensure the network is performing correctly. All tools and equipment are fully maintained and inspected regularly to ensure compliance with U.S. safety and operational standards, including OSHA regulations, and with FCC guidelines for fiber optic network performance and testing. These measures guarantee that every installation meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
